What a beautiful supper club. The decor was like being in a Christmas movie! The food was spectacular too! From the veggie plate to the french onion soup to the steak and fish all as delicious as the next. Then came the grashoppers! Our server Jennifer was AWESOME! Will be back!
Went for a birthday and it was a Friday so enjoyed the fish too!
Ordered calamari for appetizer and the onion. Onion was huge. Plenty enough to take home half of it.
Fish portion was large. The Walleye was very good. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
The atmosphere is northwoods feel. The beautiful picturesque setting was a beautiful place to walk around after the meal as well.
We had reservations for 5pm. It was steady but about 6pm was very busy. Servers were very attentive. Water glasses filled often. We will come back again sometime.
What a cool place! There are a lot of nice details here. The bar is very classy but at the same time north woodsy. There are tables off to the side in case you want to hang out a bit. They make a great Old Fashioned.
The dining room is also classy north woods. White paper table covers, candle, big windows overlooking the lake, lots of wood.
The food is pretty awesome too. I absolutely love a relish tray and Pinewood has a good one. There is a very tasty dip for the fresh veggies. It’s seasoned with curry and trust me, you’ll like it. We did not have the Baked French Onion Soup because they were featuring a delicious Chicken Spetzal Soup. Yum! The Halibut Oscar was as good as it looked. It was served over perfectly cooked asparagus. The ribs were delicious as well. I’m guessing the sauce is homemade and the rack, while not long in length, was so thick it looked like a pork roast on the plate. They make a potato that has cheese stuffed inside and is coated in bread crumbs and fried!
We skipped dessert as we were quite full and we didn’t have time for an after dinner drink but we will be back for dinner again when we can linger a bit longer.
I would also like to recognize the staff. We were greeted and seated by a very friendly woman and our server, Jennifer, was friendly, attentive, and made us feel at home.
Hard to find a joint like this anymore. Attentive service from an obviously highly trained staff. Food was top notch all around, my only regret was not upgrading to a French onion soup. The prime rib was perfectly cooked and the potato puff was almost to good. Not the place I'll be a every week regular due to the price point but I'm already looking at the next time I've got an occasion that will warrant another visit.
A good supper club for our large family party. We had a large room reserved with bar and long tables of 8. Family style service. Everything served warm, tasty and they brought more as needed. Friendly and good service. Good place .
Started at the bar with average brandy old fashions. Mine was poured from the last ounce of the bottles generic brandy. My wife's was better. We then took our seats at the "diner like" reserved table. We had some questions about the menu items including the Prime rib but our server excused herself to go pick up an order for another table. Thought that was rude. Probably for a regular patron. When she got back my wife ordered the queen Prime Rib which was expensive at 34.99 and I ordered the Chicken Oscar at 24.99. We both got the clam chowder which was included with the meals. The bowls were shallow with very little soup in them. Came with under cooked carrots and potatoes with maybe two clam pieces. We ordered more drinks and they were decent. The main course arrived. The prime rib was half fat and served on too small of a plate. My wife attempted to cut me a piece to try and juice went all over. Tasted ok. My chicken was nice and hot but only one small breast. My plate was more appropriate for the prime rib. After we were done I got the check. An extra charge for credit cards was on there even though I wasn't going to be using one. Will pass on this place.
Took mom out for Mother's Day. Food was outstanding. Mom got the crab stuffed salmon and I got the prime rib. One picture is the view from our table, overlooking the lake.
The place is decorated beautifully for the holidays. The service at the bar and for dinner was spot on. Everyone’s meals were delicious. I had the fresh halibut Oscar and it was spectacular. Should have taken a picture but it was in my tummy before I thought of it. 🤤
